Yes. Along with the description, we can fill the page title, meta description, and search keyword fields BigCommerce uses, plus image alt text — all written back into the same product.

Does it handle product variants?

It does. Variants and custom fields are imported with the parent product, so you can enhance the whole listing rather than just the main description.
