Accounts

When you create an account with us, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are responsible for safeguarding your account and any activities or actions under your account. Notify us immediately upon becoming aware of any breach of security or unauthorized use of your account.

Use of Services

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are prohibited from using our Services to violate any laws, infringe on any third party's rights, or harm our operations or users. You are solely responsible for the product data you submit and for the content you publish to your own storefronts.

AI-Generated Content

StartDescribe uses artificial intelligence to generate product descriptions and related content based on the inputs you provide. AI-generated output may occasionally be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific products or markets. You are responsible for reviewing, editing, and verifying all generated content before publishing it. You retain ownership of the product descriptions you generate through the Services, subject to your compliance with these Terms.

Intellectual Property

Our Services and their original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of StartDescribe and its licensors. Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without our prior written consent.

Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services to enhance our Services. These services may include but are not limited to:

Store Integrations

StartDescribe lets you connect third-party e-commerce platforms such as Shopify and WooCommerce, or import and export product data via CSV. Although we endeavor to test and maintain these integrations, we assume no liability for any alterations or modifications made to third-party APIs or platforms. When you connect a store, you authorize StartDescribe to read and, where you direct it to, write product content on your behalf. All integrations are provided on an "as is" basis, and you use them at your own discretion and risk.

Third-Party Logos and Trademarks

Any third-party logos, trademarks, and brand names that appear on our website are the property of their respective owners. These logos and trademarks are used solely to indicate compatibility and do not imply any endorsement, affiliation, or sponsorship by the respective owners. StartDescribe respects the intellectual property rights of others and strives to ensure that all content on our platform complies with applicable copyright laws.

Plans and Usage Limits

Please be advised of the following policies regarding usage limits and subscription tiers:

Each subscription plan includes a set allowance of product description generations (or credits) per billing period. Once you reach the limit of your plan, generation will be paused until the start of the next billing period or until you upgrade or purchase additional capacity.
If you downgrade your subscription to a lower tier, features or capacity exclusive to the higher tier may no longer be available.
Unused allowances do not roll over to the next billing period; each billing cycle resets your usage based on your current plan.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and bar access to our Services immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Services will cease immediately.

Additionally, should we detect any suspicious activities, fraud, or abuse, we reserve the right to suspend accounts without prior notification. This measure is taken to ensure the security and integrity of our platform and its users.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

Platform Access: By subscribing to StartDescribe, you are purchasing access to our AI-powered product description tools. Your subscription starts immediately and grants you access to the platform as a whole rather than to individual features.

Refund Policy: We strive to provide an exceptional experience for all users. Refunds will only be considered in cases where technical issues attributable to our platform prevent its proper functioning, such as a system-side outage. Refunds will not be granted for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to dissatisfaction with AI-generated output, the absence of required third-party API keys, or issues with connected store platforms. StartDescribe does not issue refunds once generation capacity for a billing period has been used.

Subscription Management:Subscribers may cancel their subscriptions at any time. It is the subscriber's responsibility to manage their subscription, including cancellation prior to the renewal date. Refunds cannot be issued for unused subscriptions or for subscriptions that remain active due to non-cancellation.

Technical Support: Our technical support is available to address platform-related issues, including error resolution and system-side connectivity problems. For additional assistance, users may book a paid consultation where available.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall StartDescribe, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (i) your use or inability to use the Service; (ii) any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide at least 30 days' notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to access or use our Services after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms.
